More supportive housing in progress at the VA Campus

Yet another affordable housing development has commenced work at the sprawling VA Campus in Westwood.

Earlier this month, the Core Companies announced the groundbreaking of the second and last phase of the MacArthur Field development, which is being built at the VA Medical Center’s North Campus. The new construction, when compared with an initial phase that started construction in January, will account for 148 new homes for veterans.

Renderings of the new development portray a three-story structure, which will feature amenities such as a community garden, a dog park, gym, walking paths, and a business center.

Work on the initial component, the 74-unit Phase A, is on track for completion in August 2024. The second component, Phase B, is scheduled to wrap up work in August 2025.
